Aviation Week

I knew that this was aviation week, it says so on my calendar...starting Monday, August 17th, all the way through Monday August 24th we celebrate flying. Its funny, Chicago's 'Air and Water Show' was this weekend... I wonder if they planned that? :)

I was at the beach late last week, and I got to see the pilots practicing for their show... though I've never seen the actual show. Here are some pictures I found online...

Looking at the planes above, and at the things they are capable of, its baffaling to think airplanes started like this:


its actually kind of interesting how much we have progressed...




So... trivia time! Anybody know who's birthday we celebrate this week? He was important to flight!
