Part of 'Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing', one of my favorite hymns
Here I raise my Ebeneezer,
Hither by Thy help I’ve come; And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wandering from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, Interposed His precious blood.
Oh, to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be; Let that grace now like a fetter Bind my wandering heart to Thee: Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it; Prone to leave the God I love. Here’s my heart, oh, take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above.
Each little flower that opens,
each little bird that sings,
God made their glowing colors,
and made their tiny wings.
All things bright and beautiful,
all creatures great and small,
all things wise and wonderful:
the Lord God made them all.
The purple-headed mountains,
the river running by,
the sunset and the morning
that brightens up the sky.
All things bright and beautiful,
all creatures great and small,
all things wise and wonderful:
the Lord God made them all.
The cold wind in the winter,
the pleasant summer sun,
the ripe fruits in the garden:
God made them every one.
All things bright and beautiful,
all creatures great and small,
all things wise and wonderful:
the Lord God made them all.
God gave us eyes to see them,
and lips that we might tell
how great is God Almighty,
who has made all things well.
All things bright and beautiful,
all creatures great and small,
all things wise and wonderful:
the Lord God made them all.
